Alrighty, I have done some site maintenance and I am happy to say that (hopefully) I am no longer trying to sell male enhancement drugs, nor am I so enamored with Windows 7 that want to shove it down your throat. :)
Lance is home safe and sound, and his flight from Atlanta was actually almost thirty minutes early. Can you believe that? Insane huh? Looking back over this trip- it was not one for the record books. I had fun- no doubt about it, but I am glad to be home and sick and coughing in my own bed. We changed hotels four times- but I must say the last one was a pretty nice one...so I didn't really mind all the time I spent just laying around playing Super Mario Brothers on my DS (that crap is ADDICTIVE!!!!).
I don't entirely know what happened to my friends out in Globe- the friends I made out on the Rez. Not one single one returned any of my emails. I tried calling the ER, but the people at the desk didn't know who I was.Obviously the wouldn't give me my friend's new phone numbers- or tell me if they were working. I just asked to leave a message that I called, and I wanted to see them. Who knows if they will ever get it. I just don't understand it- and it kind of hurts that I haven't heard from ANY of them. I have been trying since October or November- whenever we decided to go out there.
Oh well- God knows what he is doing b/c it turns out that the road to Globe, AZ was CLOSED when I was going to go up there to see them. Apparently all the recent rains caused a really bad rock slide. That is pretty scary. I remember one time when I was driving a rock (freaking BOULDER) fell in front of my car. I almost fainted! After the road was opened THEN the road was closed b/c there was a high speed chase and a shoot out old west style (no pun intended...okay-it was) in the canyon. Three or four fatalities and the road was closed for several hours b/c it was a big investigation. That was the night before I was due to fly out...and I probably would have had issues getting back for my flight, so thank goodness I didn't go that night either.
Honestly- all I really wanted to do was to sleep and vegetate and cough. Well, I didn't want to cough- I just couldn't stop.
I won BIG in Vegas though- I put a random dollar in a penny slot machine hit the max bet I could with one dollar...and ended up winning 18.33. :) I was pretty freakin' happy about that.
THEN we went for an hour or so to some Casino in Scottsdale, AZ. I really did win pretty big.....I played three card poker (which is my new favorite). I got three LOVELY ladies...and I had played the "Pair Plus"...I ended up winning 30:1 on my bet. :) I had bet $5 on the pair plus, $5 on the ante and $ on the whatever is left (haha, can you tell I paid attention?) I got $150!!!!!! I had been playing really really conservative for a while- and not betting the pair plus (basically you are betting that you will get a pair...if you don't you lose that money- even if you win the hand and win on your initial ante). I honestly can't believe I was really playing anyways b/c I am SO FREAKING CHEAP! I played the pair plus and the dealer said "oh-you must have a feeling!" I said I guess I do- either that or I need to cough. The dealer said something like "lets hope it isn't gas" (HA HA!)
I didn't' get a pair that hand. The next hand I didn't play pair plus, then the third hand I did play it again- and the dealer said "Oh- you have that feeling again" I just nodded b/c I was feeling sick of 10 dollars just going down the crapper.
The one other player at the table turned up his cards and he had THREE KINGS!!! He got his huge pile of chips....lots of greens and reds. I started internally freaking out...I didn't say anything out loud yet though. The pit boss came over and congratulated that guy, etc.
Then when the dealer came to my cards he said "well, was it gas?" and he flipped over my cards and I just started squealing like a little kid. High fives ensues, the dealer said something like "That feeling was definitely not gas" The pit boss came around and her jaw dropped "Two three of a kinds on the SAME HAND?" The dealer said "well, she said she had a feeling".
Then everyone nodded like I explained the meaning of life. ?
They wouldn't let me take a picture of my chips though. I had them give them to me....then I stacked them all up (I had them give them to me reds (5s)- because I am cool like that....after I raked them towards me "MWAAA HA HA HAA-ing" in pure evil fashion, I stacked them up and pushed them RIGHT back and said I wanted to color out.
This chick quits when she is ahead.
I went in with $100 and came out with $295. HECK YEAH! I will leave you with some pictures (hopefully...) .......
LOVE TO ALL!!!!
This handy dandy little button below is a new thing I have added that will be on each post- as well as on the top of the blog itself. If you feel the need to share this blog....you can! With this gadget you (as the sender) can chose HOW to share it. Via Facebook (um, message only please...don't post me public- just b/c that is embarrassing), email, twitter, etc. Kirtsy is a really cool website that you nominate daily blog posts that you find funny/touching/etc. This is a really neat tool to have added, and hopefully you will share my life and ramblings as you see fit. :)
